The no. 3 nesting cushion is recommended for any full-term baby needing assistance in settling and regulating. The no. 3 is slightly bigger than no. 2 so it is best used in a where there are no space restrictions.
The nurtureOne nesting cushion provides your baby with the ideal sensory needs for sleep while promoting development by allowing movement and self soothing to occur. We always recommend using the nesting cushion together with the wedge to slightly elevate baby’s head and relieve symptoms of reflux.

Why we recommend to use the nesting cushion with a wedge:
When babies are born their heads are so much larger than the rest of their bodies. Development in this area is far ahead of the rest of your baby’s body. By the time, your baby is 9 months old their head is half of the size it will be as an adult and by 2 years old it is already ¾ of the size it will ever reach.
When we designed the nurtureOne nesting cushion we were working in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), with sick babies where the incubators are elevated for respiratory, digestive, and cardiac benefits. So we advise moms with healthy new-borns, to use a wedge or even a folded 100 % cotton blanket under the head part of your nurtureOne nesting cushion to ensure that your baby is in a neutral position up to about 10 degrees – that is your baby is almost lying flat. A slight elevation, however, might assist your baby in sleep if they are stuffy or suffer from reflux.
