The Third Trimester: What Every Mom Should Know!
The final 12 weeks of a full-term pregnancy is known as the third trimester and it is a wonderful time of anticipation and preparation. This stage is filled with excitement...
Help babies settle easily with the nurtureOne™ Nesting Cushion, designed by expert occupational therapists Jen and Esther. Create a calm, secure, womb-like sleep space to ease your baby's transition to the world.
Why Does My Baby Need a
A newborn baby is a gift and an inspiration. Parents feel an overpowering desire to do everything they can to ensure their babies feel loved, safe and relaxed. With your baby′s need for containment and peace in mind, we have designed the unique nurtureOne™ nesting cushion.
Do I need to use a
The nurtureOne nesting cushion was originally used in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), where incubators are angled at about 30 degrees for medical benefits. For full-term, healthy babies who are not in incubators, the nurtureOne wedge was designed to be used with the nurtureOne nesting cushion.
What are the benefits of the
The nutureOne™ Weighted Soother assists babies in settling. It provides deep
pressure sensory input to encourage calm, soothing sleep. Place gently on baby’s
body.
Tereza Whittaker | Doctor and mother of 3All three of my babies used the cushion for most of their first year. It is a wonderful sleep aid, letting you put your tiny baby to sleep on her side safely. It snuggles and holds the baby so that putting them down to sleep is easier. You can pick up the whole bundle, baby and cushion, if you need to move to another room. Also great for taking out at night, so their familiar bed is with them. I even used it in my pram. Definitely would recommend for all parents and babies.
Sasha Roytowski | Doctor and mother in AustraliaThe nurtureOne™ nesting cushion was the most useful gift that I received - my baby loved it and slept well on it in many places: friends houses, the sofa, coffee shops and a even a long haul flight. It is so easy to carry, use and wash. It was a lifesaver.
Lindsay Dibowitz | Mom of 3As a third time mom I was grateful to find something so versatile for my little boy. The nurtureOne™ cushion has so many uses and it is containing, warm and cuddly and safe. He slept with it in his carry cot, couch, cot and lap. It often helped to soothe him when he was cranky as it became like his 'dudu'blanket.
Henriëtte Saunders | Doctor and mother of 2I have used the nurtureOne™ for both my baby boys and it was incredible. The fact that it is totally portable meant that wherever we went (and we travel a lot), they would have their safe, comfortable 'nest' with them and I knew they were fully supported and nurtured within it.
Karen Kallmann | Mother of 4I used the nesting cushion with my kids. I particularly enjoyed using it in my own bed, as I breastfed and co-slept. I could easily move baby without disturbing it too much, on the cushion itself. I also felt less scared of accidentally rolling over baby in my sleep, as the baby had its own, confined space. With my youngest I borrowed a special, store-bought crib that you're supposed to use if you put baby in your own bed, but I found that he was uncomfortable, so I switched back to the cushion. In the latter he seemed to be cosier, without real risk factors for cot death.
